“Keep me, O Lord, as the apple of your eye.” (Ps. 17:8)
The eye is a symbol of seeing and vision.
God’s omniscience is symbolized as an All-seeing eye within a triangle representing the three aspects of Deity in Christianity: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. You can think of the “All-seeing eye” as the eye of the father running to embrace the prodigal son; the eye of the shepherd seeking the lost sheep and the eye of the Good Samaritan tending to the wounded and ambushed man. An eye of love!
